The work you’ve already done isn’t thrown away. It becomes the starting point.
Your policies
Upload a CSV or Excel list of your policies and control documents, with owner, classification and the controls they cover (A.5.15, Clause 5.1 and so on). You see a preview first, with validation messages, owner matches and the Statement of Applicability controls they map to. Then you commit.
Your evidence list
The same import takes your evidence inventory, so the list of what proves what arrives with its owners and control mappings. The import is rule-based, not AI, and every import is in the audit trail.
Your risk register
Import your existing risk register from CSV or Excel, along with your policies and evidence list, so the risks you’ve already worked through come with you. Starting from scratch instead? Describe your business in setup and ClearIMS drafts a register with owners and treatments for your people to check.

A step-by-step wizard
Back, Continue, and Skip on the optional steps. It shows which step you’re on and roughly how many minutes are left, and it resumes where you left off. Answer in a form, or chat with the AI.

Home shows a single card: finish setup, then the next chapter, then your earliest task, then the clause areas readiness doesn’t yet mark as met. You always know what to do next.

The Recommended tasks list puts the ISO 27001 work in order, most important first. Work down it for as long as you have, and every task you finish moves your ISMS forward.
Who approves what
One approval model, everywhere. The AI drafts; people approve. The AI never approves, signs off or accepts anything.
Everyday work
Approved by an Owner, Admin or Approver in your organisation. Risk owners accept their own risks and approve their treatment.
The big four
The ISMS scope, the Statement of Applicability, the information security policy and management review sign-off are approved only by the people you mark as top management.
Not your own work
Nobody approves their own work, except in small organisation mode when every possible approver is an author. Every approval records who, which version and when.

PDF export
Policies and control documents are versioned, go through review and approval, and export to PDF. Your approved documents are files you can keep.

Time to export after a trial
If you don’t buy after the trial, your workspace stays read-only for 30 days: sign in, view and export. Only then is it deleted.

What the trial includes, honestly
The trial gives you the platform, the in-app helper chat and a read-only example ISMS to look round. AI drafting of your own ISMS is locked during the trial: it starts when you choose a paid plan.
