Small network, same security duties. Run them without building a compliance team.
The security duties brought in by the Telecommunications (Security) Act 2021 apply to public telecoms providers of every size, and your business customers send security questionnaires of their own. ClearIMS helps you build and run an ISO 27001 information security management system (ISMS): risks, policies, incidents and evidence in one place, run by the team you already have.

What’s being asked of a small provider
The legal security duties
The Communications Act 2003, as amended by the Telecommunications (Security) Act 2021, and the Electronic Communications (Security Measures) Regulations 2022 require public telecoms providers to identify and reduce security risks and prepare for incidents. Ofcom monitors and enforces them.
A Code of Practice that scales with size
The Telecommunications Security Code of Practice sets different expectations for providers of different sizes. The legal duties still apply to every public provider.
Business customers’ security questionnaires
Offices, schools and councils buying connectivity ask how you protect their service and data, and some ask for ISO 27001 by name.
Incidents handled and recorded
Outages, attacks and supplier problems need a clear record of who did what, when, and what changed afterwards.
ISO 27001 isn’t the same as complying with the telecoms security rules, and ClearIMS doesn’t give you a regulator’s opinion. An ISMS is a structured way to manage the risks, incidents and records that sit behind both.
How ClearIMS helps a small network team
The AI drafts and does the admin. A named person in your organisation approves every record; the AI never approves anything.
A virtual ISMS manager, with an inbox for every incident
Each incident can have its own randomly generated email address. Copy it into the thread with your upstream supplier and the emails are filed against the incident. AI summarises what comes in and suggests tasks, and ClearIMS chases owners about overdue actions. Your people still approve.
Questionnaire answers drafted from your records
AI drafts answers to customer security questionnaires from your approved records, with sources, so you can check each answer before it goes back to the customer.
Got 5 minutes or 5 hours? Start at the top
The Recommended tasks list puts the ISO 27001 work in order, most important first. Whenever someone has time, they work down it, and every task they finish moves your ISMS forward.
“Show me” goes straight to the line
Link a policy to a control in your Statement of Applicability and highlight the lines that relate to it. When an auditor asks “show me”, the link takes you straight to the highlighted part.
